I was born and raised in the great state of TEXAS where I’m the oldest of 3 kids and the only girl in the mix. After high school, I was blessed with the chance to play soccer and study psychology at the University of Texas at Tyler where I graduated in May 2011.
Shortly after graduation, I spent a year serving in 11 different countries with a program called The World Race (you can read all about my experiences here). It was in those days of 2012 that I came face to face with the reality of injustice in the world. Statistics of girls sold for sex and starving children living on the streets were no longer just numbers to me- they were faces and those faces had stories.
And their stories changed my life forever…
Ever since then, my heart beats to the wild sound of my Father’s heart. I was given SO much through my experiences in the world that year and now- just like God promised in Luke 12- He’s asking much of me…
So with a yes in my spirit and His promises close to my heart- I moved to the Philippines in April 2013 answering God’s call to love and serve His people there!
I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.
